Fantasy Island: A safe day out

Looking for things to do in Skegness, but worried about the pandemic? Whether you have something to celebrate or are just looking for a fun-filled afternoon, we’ve been taking precautions here at Fantasy Island so that you and your family can enjoy the fun safely and responsibly.

Desperate for a day out?

Perfect for thrill-seekers and small children alike, there’s something for everyone at Fantasy Island. Experience the high speeds of The Millennium (55.9mph with TWO vertical loops!) the bounce of the Techno Jump and the crazy critters on the Seaquarium Ride. If you’re looking for some variety in between rides, there’s Ingoldmells Market – the largest seven day market in Europe – and the arcade, which features a combination of modern games and vintage classics to keep you and your kids entertained for hours on end.

Safety measures

We’ve installed hand-washing stations and hand sanitiser units across the park for customer use, as well as implementing one-way systems and floor markings to make social distancing easy. Our employees are having daily temperature checks and we have upped our already-rigorous cleaning process to maintain a clean and welcoming environment. We are also issuing one complimentary face mask to every wristband holder upon entry to the park. The wearing of face masks is mandatory on certain rides, including The Millennium and the Dodgems, with the exception of those that the government has noted to be exempt.

What this means for your visit

As we’re operating at limited capacity to ensure the ease of social distancing, we do recommend that you book ahead so as to avoid disappointment! In order to follow the government’s Track and Trace scheme, we will ask for some contact details on arrival, so that we have a record of park visitors. We additionally request that customers wear face masks on indoor rides and when shopping at market stalls, for your own and our employees’ safety.

We have also lifted our usual restrictions on dogs, so now your furry friends can accompany you in the outdoor areas of the park. (Though we’re afraid that they’re still not allowed on rides!)

We do ask that all customers follow signage and employee guidance to ensure that everyone’s experience is fun and safe. Things are a little crazy at the moment, but with everyone’s cooperation, we can still provide you with an amazing day out that will be special for all the family.
