Fantasy Island Summer Sun

In 1995, Fantasy Island opened its doors for the first time. Dodgems and carnival games nestled amongst caravans and chalets like a touring circus come to rest at the seashore. Since then, Fantasy Island has grown each and every year. Towering roller coasters now reach across the skyline and the lights shine out across the Lincolnshire coast, illuminating one of best funfairs in England.

Thrills and spills

The bright green and pink steel of Millennium wraps around the circumference of the park shooting thrill-seekers above the heads of the crowd below. The roller coaster is one hundred and fifty feet tall and at its apex looks out across the neat rows of holiday homes arranged like a model village all around. The ride opened in 1999 as a celebration of the new millennium and was the park’s first looping roller coaster. The giant is a long way from the smaller but much adored Rhombus Rocket which has been exciting guests since the park opened in 1995. The two tracks entwine on the east side of the park and create an impressive backdrop for photos from the leisure beach.

Something for everyone

While the coasters may be the most obvious attractions, Fantasy Island offers a lot more than just thrills. For day-trippers looking for things to do in Skegness, Fantasy Island offers family attractions, games, shows and much more. Seaquarium offers an adventure on the high seas perfect for young children while the Twister ramps up the action for older siblings. As the summertime heats up there are also plenty of chances to play in the shade. Soft play areas, climbing parks, The Mystical Mountain show and the largest family entertainment centre on the east coast all provide a much-needed break from the heat while keeping the fun rolling.

Relaxation

Beyond the park, The Island Beach offers a spot to relax in a deck chair with a drink and perhaps grab a bite to eat; a haven of tranquillity amongst the excitement. With the summer hotting up and more and more attractions being added all the time, there has never been a better time to visit!
